Version 1.0 introduces our new Dynamic NPC framework. NPCs now follow navigation nodes while responding to changes in the environment. Characters can patrol, investigate sounds, idle, seek cover, and perform scripted or randomized activities.
Using behavior profiles, NPCs can interact with doors, buttons, simple props, and other NPCs. Dialogue can be selected from existing game voice lines to create more natural conversations during gameplay.

The Dynamic NPC framework is still experimental. Large maps containing over 60 active NPCs may experience reduced performance. Navigation mesh generation has been significantly improved since Beta 0.7, although complex interiors may require manual node adjustments.
